Thai Tire Wholesale Warranty Policy
Effective date: 08 February 2024
Thai Tire supplies new tyres with warranty support against qualifying manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. This policy is written for direct purchasing customers such as retailers, workshops, dealers, importers and fleet managers.
1. Coverage and warranty period
Coverage begins from the original Thai Tire invoice date. Warranty adjustments are handled on a pro-rata basis, taking into account the remaining usable tread life and the nature of the claim.
| Tyre type | Coverage summary |
|---|---|
| Truck & Bus Radial tyres | Pro-rata consideration until 50% of original tread depth has been worn for applicable steer or drive use, with a maximum age of 5 years from the DOT manufacturing date. |
| Passenger Car Radial tyres | Pro-rata consideration until tread wear indicators are reached, with a maximum age of 5 years from the DOT manufacturing date. |
| OTR and Motorcycle tyres | Coverage depends on the exact application, service hours and operating conditions. Buyers should request application-specific terms before heavy-duty or project supply. |
2. Claim process for direct customers
Step 1: Inspect and document the tyre. Check that the concern is not linked to inflation, overload, alignment, accidental damage, improper mounting or misuse. Collect clear photos of the full tyre, close-up defect area, DOT serial number, vehicle/application details and proof of purchase.
Step 2: Submit the claim. Email the warranty department at warranty@thaiitire.com with your company name, Thai Tire invoice number and the supporting documentation. Do not ship or return the tyre unless the team requests it.
Step 3: Evaluation and resolution. The claim will be reviewed from the evidence provided. If more inspection is needed, a factory or manufacturer review may be requested. Approved claims are handled by credit note to the purchasing customer account, based on the pro-rata calculation.
3. Items not covered
- Normal tread wear, worn-out tread or tyres used beyond tread wear indicators.
- Under-inflation, over-inflation, overload, mismatched dual assemblies or poor maintenance.
- Vehicle mechanical issues such as wheel alignment, worn suspension or brake faults.
- Road hazard or accident damage, including punctures, cuts, impacts, bruising, fire, chemical exposure or vandalism.
- Damage linked to improper mounting, repairs, racing use, wrong application or altered/unreadable DOT numbers.
- Weather or ozone cracking that appears after 4 years from manufacturing date.
4. Important limitations
This warranty applies between Thai Tire and the direct purchasing customer. The direct customer remains responsible for managing their end-user relationship and any local retail remedy. Warranty assessment by Thai Tire or the relevant manufacturer is final. Tyres must be used in line with applicable transport, load and safety regulations.
